Mom's Garden

I love home! I couldn't help but think of Elizabeth Bennett and her aunt as Pemberly comes into view of the carriage:

"How do you like the house Lizzie?" -
"Very well. I don't think I've ever seen a place so happily situated. I like it very well indeed."

Sorry it's been forever since we've posted. We ran into some pretty ridiculous computer trouble. Ugh!... Let's just say it's nice to still have our hard drive, and all our pictures, still in tact! :0

This post is for Mom; our plan was to have progressive posts of the yard this summer, but this one is a month or so late. In either case, look at this yard! Mom and Marianne have both been outside partying this spring and summer. Since these pictures were taken, we have also had the irises, the strawberries have come, the honeysuckle has started up, the yellow and red rose bushes have both come and gone, the corn is thigh-high, and everything is greener than we've ever seen in Utah! We've had SO MUCH rain, and it's wonderful for everything... except the hay; we're still trying to get the ground dried out so we can finish up 1st crop--Yikes! But as Dad always says when the hay is getting rained on and we're out trying to bale: "It's never as bad as you think it is. It'll all work out." :)
