Happy Father's Day!

Here are some pictures that scrape the surface and show just why we love our Dad! (It's an understatement to say there are a LOT more where these came from!) You've been a loving husband and father for 30 years... So here's to you, Dad! We love you!

We love that you love, adore, and respect our Mom!

For those of you who don't know, Mom saw something like this in a farm magazine and liked it, and Dad decided to surprise her with it for Mother's Day. Dad's highly creative and innovative in his work--and play--on the farm.

We know we aren't as good as Mom, but Dad loves his girls, too. And we love him. :)

We love that Dad will take us camping. (And of course Smokey loves when he's included in the fun.) If any Briggs kid doesn't know how to find dry wood in a rainstorm, you'll be sentenced to 20 hours of agricultural service. (aka, puncture patrol.) Jake obviously knows how to get wood for a fire...

And of course, Smokey had to have his say in this blog post. Smokey loves getting to go on rides in the Gray Speedster, getting doggy treats by walking willingly into the bathroom for his bath, and loves that Dad will cut the hair around his eyes so he can "look out the window" at the neighbor dog, Duke, and all the "wild animals." Dad and Smokey are obviously good pals:

Dad is one of the cutest grandpas ever! Just ask Max about the "tickle song" or the airplane, and he'll let you know ALL ABOUT his grandpa! :)

Dad has always been one for fun family trips. We've had good times and countless laughs as we all pack into the white suburban to go on roadtrips to Seattle, Nauvoo, Southern Utah, Yellowstone, the Redwoods, Disney Land...and that's only to name a few! We've also had a blast on a cruise to Mexico and Beliz, going to Niagara Falls and Kirtland, trips to Dan and Karen's, and Mom and Dad went to Cancun and Washington D.C. recently! Trips make memories, and we've got lots of 'em! Thanks, Dad!

Mom and Dad in Cancun-
The "Echinus" Geyser in Yellowstone-
CUTE CHICKS!!!!
Playing on the beach on the cruise- Dad's favorite was snorkeling.
Right before we boarded our cruise ship-
Mom and Dad at Adam Andi Ahman-
Hiking down into Bryce Canyon-

Dad saw this while we were driving in Washington, and we had to stop. This man's yard was FULL of metal creations like this horse. It was incredible! Dad was so fascinated and had a lot of fun looking at the parts of tractors and cars that made up these metal thingywhackers.

Here's a side of Dad that isn't widely known. He's had a crazy past as a snowmobiler! Snowmobiling has been a fun thing for the boys; Dad on his Summit, Jake on the Ski-doo, and of course, Aaron with the Artic Cat. As you can guess from some of these pictures, a lot of what happens up at Monte Cristo, STAYS at Monte Cristo, for Mom's sake. :)

This is just skimming the surface of who our Dad is and why we love him. Dad is also an excellent texter, (just ask Aaron about some of Dad's text conversations--so funny!) very tech-savvy for his ripe old age of. . . . nevermind ;) and he enjoys dancing in the kitchen, rocking out in the gray car to 94.1 KODJ at 2:00 AM, bowling, and making popcorn on Sunday nights, to the delight of the entire family. Thanks for all you do; we love you! You are one, "coo" Dad!
