Ok, Briggs Bunch... I didn't have school today so I FINALLY got you a Cancun update. Things are a little out of order chronologically, but I'm still getting up to speed with blogspot. :)
It's hard to believe they were able to construct things like this back then! It truly is incredible! This next pic gives us an idea of how developed and massive their cities must have been.

There is so much religious symbolism in the ruins--I really can't do it justice! I'll try to get Mom on when she has a spare second (when does THAT ever happen?? :) ) so she can tell about it.It boggles your mind!
Here are Mom and Dad snorkeling in an underwater cave called a Cenote. (Translation: underground river.) Can you believe our parents are doing stuff like this??Notice the steam on Dad's goggles: he looks hilarious! :)
Here's a shot of Dad and Dave Webster (the guy in our ward that had the Cancun condo.) Scouting to the um-teenth power has its benefits--Dad is definitely in his element! It's not hard to believe that he and Dave smoked the rest of the group with pace, endurance, and distance. They were on the way out to a snorkeling vantage point.
This is a great shot of the water in the Cenotes. There is no outlet for the water from these caves that go on for miles. You'd think the water would get stagnant and gross, right? Nope- A combination of the algae and bacteria in the water keeps the water crystal clear. So gorgeous!
